After graduating from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA, in 1997, Ellen was hired with the Institute of Village Studies, based out of Friday Harbor, Washington.  As a Trip Leader & Guide, with the Institute of Village Studies, Ellen assisted college students in creating Independent Study Programs in Belize Central America.

In 2001, Ellen led her family trip to Belize.  While in Belize her husband, Matt Ganz received a position with the McCall Smokejumpers.  At that time Matt and Ellen decided that moving to McCall, Idaho would be a new and exciting change of pace.  Upon moving to McCall, both were impressed by the mountain, lakes and rivers surrounding McCall.  Most  

Having received her Washington State real estate license in 1996, it seemed natural to transfer her license to Idaho.  In her rookie year Ellen worked as an assistant for Top Producers at The McCall Real Estate Company, to learn the ins and outs .  Ellen also has experience as a property manager for All Season Rentals a former branch of McCall Real Estate. 

Over the last 6 years her business continues to grow at The McCall Real Estate Company.
